One of the best experiences in our lives, except it took us forever to get to the festival ground... When we finally got in Overpelt (where Eurorock is held) we followed the "press" signs 'cause there were no "artists" signs to be found, after having driven through some beautiful landscapes, we finally got there; only to be told we had to go back through that one car only lane... Instructions were given and as it seemed there actually were "artist direction signs"... Another 30 minutes of searching, and yes, through a village and more landscape admiring we ran into one!! (not literary)
Once we arrived everything turned for the best, we even were provided with our own personal assistant !! Food, drinks, a dressing room, fine Belgian chocolates (pralines, hehe) but it was the hostess that really made our day... It wasn't a hot day but really pleasureable weather thus we scouted the festival grounds, never saw a mixture of so many different kinds of people... Later that afternoon we did our show which was well received by the people already there, the tent we played in was filled for three quarters, and we saw some friends in the first few rows, thanks...
After the show we went back to the festival grounds where we enjoyed some of the other bands playing that day, After All, Therion, Tiamat and many more... It has to be said that Eurorock is one great festival (if you get there)...

A small club in the city of Gent where lots of bands have played in the past, and not obscure ones either!! If you're a Rock fan or a Metalhead in Belgium, you should know about the Frontline... Another experience to be noted in the Torn log... We arrived well in time cause we were told playing time was around 20.00h, but a few things went a miss hence the show didn't start before 23.30h, and by that time tiredness had come over us...
Until... Most of the people that were in earlier had left, probably due to that same tiredness, (the fest started at 13.00h and that's a long fest) but the ones still there were pretty enthousiastic and transmitted that energy straight onto the stage, so everything turned out just great!!!

In August 2000, a few weeks after Eurorock we embarked on yet another adventure, record a mini CD in Aichtall, a little town near Stüttgart... For a few among us, this was an adventure never to be repeated... Frank decided to drive, he was the only one brave enough to take on the trailer we hooked on Fred's car, the only problem being that the car was far too light to actually keep the trailer under control...
Every time Frank came anywhere near the 80 kph mark, the trailer started to sway uncontrollabely thus rendering the car virtually unsteerable... It took us over 7 hours to get there so when we arrived, it was 4 o'clock in the morning, straight to bed for a good nights sleep...
The next morning we met Roman, who owned the studio and was to be our engineer, and that turned out to be great!! We all got along splendidly what made recording an absolute joy, and we're proud to say that Roman not only did a terrific job, but he also became a friend... Thanks Roman!! Too bad we didn't get a picture of him... :-(
